Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing in
Brazil with Ron Speed Jr.
Experience Trophy Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing aboard
either the Amazon Clipper or the Amazon Otter. Regardless of which you choose,
you will fish with experienced Peacock Bass fishing guides from Exotic Outdoor
Adventures.
BRAZIL – AMAZON OTTER
Your week on the Amazon will be aboard the Amazon’s
newest, largest and finest houseboat. There is approximately 7,750 square feet
for the clients to relax in and enjoy. The Otter is a four deck, twin diesel,
spacious, floating hotel that can fish anywhere in the Amazon basin - even in 3
ft. of water. Equipped with 8 double state suites with private bathrooms - with
showers. The four deck Otter has become the essence of luxury and comfort when
fishing for Peacock bass in Brazil. Whether you are relaxing in the Jacuzzi or
dining on gourmet meals, a stay on the Otter is no less than a 5-star
experience. This floating hotel has a huge air conditioned dining room that can
seat 20 people, plus an air conditioned recreation room with DVD, VCR and a
satellite phone to call home during your week's stay in the Amazon. The third
deck has an outdoor bar, tackle room and 2 Jacuzzis.
The OTTER is without a doubt the nicest of all houseboats
for fishing the Amazon and was constructed with the angler who plans on taking
his spouse and doesn’t want to give up the comforts of home in mind.
Fishing Boats
You will fish from Xpress Boats (formerly known as AlumaWeld).
These boats are 17’ and like the Triton Boats, are all welded and made of
100 gauge aluminum. They are powered by 60HP Yamaha outboard engines and are
equipped with powerful motorguide trolling motors, 2 casting decks, storage
boxes for fishing equipment and tackle, ice coolers, padded seats, life
jackets, first aid kits and marine radios. Once again, great boats for fishing
the Amazon Basin.

BRAZIL – AMAZON CLIPPER
The Amazon Clipper mothership offers seven air conditioned
cabins with bunk style beds and a private bath/shower in each cabin. It also
offers an open air dining area, bar, lounge deck up top, satellite phone and
laundry service.
The Amazon Clipper with it’s shallow draft of 2.5
feet, is perfect for navigating the most remote regions of the Amazon Rain
Forest in search of the best fishing without giving up all of the comforts of
home. The water levels in the Amazon Basin constantly fluctuate and at times
become too high or too low for producing good fishing. However, boats with
shallow drafts such as the Amazon Clipper’s are a MUST when water levels
become too low. This where the Amazon Clipper truly has the advantage and gives
YOU the best opportunity to access the big peacock bass in shallow water and
hard to get to areas. The Clipper leaves the competition behind to battle over
"community water" while you head to areas where there is little or no pressure.
Most experienced anglers know that pressured areas are NOT condusive for good
fishing. Therefore we will always have a shallow drafting houseboat like the
Clipper as an option for our customers.
The service aboard the Amazon Clipper is second to none. The staff
has many years of experience in serving anglers and nature tour enthusiasts
that venture to the Amazon. The food is a blend of American and Brazilian
cuisine. The owner/operator has over 20 years of experience in the Amazon
Tourism business and is very knowledgeable in logistics and the surrounding
culture. The guides are simply the best in the Amazon and have extensive
background in guiding American fishermen.
Fishing Boats
You will
fish from Triton bass boats. Their 175 Sport is perfect for fishing the rugged
terrain of the Amazon jungle and accessing the numerous lakes and back water
lagoons of the Rain Forest. These boats are 17’ all welded and made of
100 gauge aluminum. They are equipped with 2 decks, one front and back, carpet,
padded swivel seats for fishing and deluxe padded seats for when the boat is
running. These boats also offer 60HP Yamaha outboard
engines, console steering, powerful Motorguide
tolling motors, storage boxes for tackle and equipment, built in ice/drink
coolers, life jackets, first aid kits and marine radios. Triton is the leader
